Curriculum Vitae

Dr Shandre M Thangavelu is Associate Professor at the Department of Economics at the National University of Singapore. He has a PhD and MA in Economics from Queen’s University, Canada and a BA from University of Winnipeg, Canada. Currently, he is also a Consultant to the Ministry of Manpower holding the title of Head, Economics Unit at the ministry. He is the Managing Editor of the Asian Economic Journal and the Associate Editor for the Singapore Economic Review. His current research interests are Trade, Financial Markets and Growth; Aging, Education and Endogenous Growth; Productivity Growth, Technology Adoption and Welfare; Immigration and Economic Growth; and Macroeconomic Policies for Sustainability in ASEAN countries.
