The LKYSPP Alumni Sri Lanka Chapter welcomed the new year with an equipment donation to the Lady Ridgeway Childrens’ hospital in Colombo Sri Lanka. Lady Ridgeway Teaching hospital is the largest and the only tertiary care hospital in Sri Lanka providing medical care to children with various illnesses in all over the country.
Due to the present economic crisis in Sri Lanka, Lady Ridgeway children’s hospital is experiencing severe hardships in provision of equipment, essential medicines, and facilities for the health care needs of children.
The Sri Lanka Chapter, with the help of Alumni in Sri Lanka and overseas, provided a syringe-pump to the neo-natal ward on 6th January 2024 that would help inject pre-mature babies in incubators with various drugs and medicines.
